How to Stop Moto Phones from Overprocessing Your Photos (2025 Edition)

If you’ve got a Motorola G Stylus 2025, Edge 60 Pro, or any recent Moto phone, you might notice this frustrating behavior:

• You take a great photo.
• 1–2 seconds later it gets “processed” into a fake, oversaturated mess.
• There’s no obvious way to turn off the AI enhancements.

You're not alone—this issue is widely reported across Reddit, forums, and review sites. But luckily, we’ve got some legit fixes that actually work.

✅ Fix 1: Use Pro Mode to Avoid AI Enhancements

Moto's Pro Mode gives you more control and skips most of the unwanted processing.

Steps:

1. Open the default Moto Camera app.

2. Switch to Pro Mode (usually a tab at the bottom or side).

3. Leave Auto Focus/Exposure ON (if you’re not ready to manually adjust).

   

4. Tap the RAW BUTTON AT THE TOP

   

5. Enable RAW + JPEG capture.

This gives you:

• A RAW file (unedited, natural photo).
• A JPEG (possibly still enhanced).
• A perfect side-by-side comparison to choose the better version.

Pro Tip: Use apps like Snapseed, Lightroom Mobile, or Google Photos to open and edit your RAW shots.

✅ Fix 2: Use a Better Camera App (Zero Processing)

If you want a clean break from Moto’s camera behavior, get a new app.

1. Install Open Camera from the Play Store.
